This dataset contains self-reported data on city-wide emissions disclosed by cities in 2023. Data is drawn from section 2.1 in the Cities 2023 questionnaire. Scope 1 and 2 emissions from 482 of the largest 500 companies in the world by market capitalization. Also contains CDP response status. The dataset includes information on a company's sector, country and response status as well as the ticker symbol and ISIN number. For disclosing companies, information includes CDP Disclosure and Performance scores.

Annual city-wide emissions for more than 50 global cities. Includes information about how cities measured emissions (primary protocol), as well as why emissions rose/fell since prior reporting period.

Cities are increasingly reporting that they are powered by renewable electricity. CDP holds information from over 570 of the world's cities and over 100 cities are now getting at least 70% of their electricity from renewable sources such as hydro, geothermal, solar and wind.

This dataset has been compiled of data reported by cities in 2015, 2016 and 2017 in response to our annual questionnaire. Cities responded to the question: "Please indicate the energy mix of your electricity consumed at the city-wide scale."
