Projects that include flood risk analysis are taking place in basement flooding study areas across the city. The projects occur in specific neighbourhoods on a priority basis. This program is not a risk assessment per se, but does assess risk of flooding and does involve significant capital construction projects to reduce risk of flooding. The work focusses on areas that are considered vulnerable due to past experience of flooding, so in a way does identify 'vulnerable populations'.
