The project aims to build resilience to current and future natural hazards and increase the ability of the storm sewer infrastructure to manage large storms. Improvements to minor and major stormwater conveyance systems of 9.7 km of sewers and roadway, construction of LID features, and upgrades to 3 stormwater pumping stations will build resiliency in the system in this vulnerable area and reduce the impacts on critical infrastructure during extreme storm events.
