DDOT also initiated the Trail Ranger Program in 2013 to provide additional security and repair assistance along DC's trails. In 2015 DDOT launched a Capitol Bike share Equity working group to identify opportunities to encourage greater participation of low income and minority residents in the Capitol bike share program. The 2019 revisions to DC’s Vision Zero Initiative now include a 15 MPH speed limit on all roadways adjacent to schools and youth facilities. Through 2020, this is a key area that the District is receiving support through the American Cities Climate Challenge. | |||
