The city is stretching from the Mediterranean sea to the Collserola mountain range, and from the River Llobregat to the south to the Besòs to the north. The urban area of Barcelona extends beyond the administrative city limits with a population of 4.5 million on an area of 803 sq. km. The built-up area is 121.35 millions square meter of constructed surface, distributed as follows (Residential sector: 62,7 sq. km; Industrial sector: 22,9 sq. km ; Tertiary sector: 8,2 sq. km of commercial surface and 6 sq. km of offices). In general terms, the months of June and July have water stress, as this is the period with minimum annual precipitation levels and maximum temperatures. With regard to some economic data of Barcelona, seems appropriate to note that the GDP of the city in 2018 reached 81.291 million euros
