Their methodology complies with the French "Pôle de Coordination des Inventaires Territoriaux" (local emission inventory task force) guidelines. All regional observatories use the same methodology. We used CRF format. Data processing must be improved for future reporting to achieve BASIC + complete inventory. Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur is the only member of CDP Cities and Covenant of Mayors consortiums. Therefor only Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur needs this format at regional level for now, and the local Observatory needs more time to adapt its inventory, which has been greatly improved since last reporting.CH4, CO2, N201748190172485836593DecreasedChange in accounting methodology14005400002016{"type"=>"Point", "coordinates"=>[7.26195, 43.7102]}10/04/2021 09:23:47

918202160018City of ZamboangaPhilippinesSoutheast Asia and OceaniapublicIn progress-City / MunicipalitySame – covers entire city and nothing elseZamboanga city’s emissions are classified according to SCOPES. Scopes establish the inventory boundaries so that GHG emissions to be accounted for and reported in the inventory are clearly stated. Boundaries define the scale and reach of emissions that will be included by the LGU in its GHG inventory Report. There are 3 scopes used in the inventory reporting. For Zamboanga city’s 2019 GHG inventory, scopes 1 and 2 activities under the Agriculture, Waste, Industrial Processes and Product Use, Transport, Forestry and other Land Use, and Energy (AWITFE) sectors is accounted. Scope 1: All direct emissions from sources within the geopolitical boundary of the community.Scope 2: Energy-related indirect emissions that occur outside the community boundary as a consequence of consumption/use of grid supplied electricity.Scope 3: All other indirect emissions that occur outside the boundary as a result of activities within the community’s geopolitical boundary, including trans-boundary emissions due to exchange/use/consumption of goods and services. To compute for the numerical values of the sources of emission within Zamboanga city, the general quantification equation was used in computing for GHG emissions:GHG Emission = Activity Data x Emission Factor x Global Warming PotentialActivity Data (A) is any data that pertain to the magnitude of human activity resulting to GHG emissions. These can be volume of fuel (measured in liters), weight of fuel (measured in kilogram units), amount of electricity usage (measured in kilowatt-hour) or distances travelled (measured in kilometers), etc. Emission Factor (EF) is the average emission rate of a given GHG for a given source, relative to units of activity. These are always expressed as ratios.Global Warming Potential (GWP) is the comparisons of the global warming impacts of different gases. Specifically, it is a measure of how much energy the emissions of 1 ton of a gas will absorb over a given period of time, relative to the emissions of 1 ton of carbon dioxide (CO2).1453.27977234202010/04/2021 09:23:47

However, the lack of objectivity results from the differences in the emission categories, calculation methods, selection of activity data, and data sources of the municipalities. Therefore, the"Guidelines for City Level Greenhouse Gas Inventories"was proposed by the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), the inventory followed the International Local Government Greenhouse Gas Emissions Analysis Protocol (IEAP) by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The"Guidelines for City Level Greenhouse Gas Inventories"not only followed the five basic principles of greenhouse gas inventories: relevance, completeness, consistency, accuracy, and transparency but also highly connected to the international trend. In this case, the method is considered a self-assessment of reducing GHG for each city and being inspectable and verifiable internationally.CH4, CO2, N20, SF62624211.842399045.87Stayed the sameEmissions have not changed27758112752021{"type"=>"Point", "coordinates"=>[120.47, 22.6558]}10/04/2021 09:23:47

Our emissions data comes from multiple sources (internal records, local utilities, contracted waste hauler, etc.). Our team includes volunteer residents, staff, and consultants, so using Excel as the data entry and analysis tool is very important. Our city does not have any Scope 1 emissions other than transportation. Description

This dataset contains data on total city-wide emissions as reported by cities in 2021. To view all responses by cities to questions on emissions in 2021, including breakdowns by sector and scope, go to https://data.cdp.net/Governance/2021-Cities-Emissions-and-Mitigation/aic4-a5fb. The questions covered are 4.6a to 4.6b.
Access cities questionnaire guidance at https://www.cdp.net/en/guidance/guidance-for-cities.
Please contact cities@cdp.net if you have any questions.
When using the inventory data for aggregation, comparison and trend analysis, please note that the inventory data is based on non-verified self-reported city inputs. The reported inventory may not include all emission sources within the city boundary.
This data is collected through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System. When using this data, please cite both organisations using the following wording: ‘This data was collected in partnership by CDP and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability’.
