Flooding in other areas of the city could also be a problem for businesses and transportation corridors. The Port of Seattle is primarily located in low-lying areas and will be affected by sea level rise. Transportation networks, especially rail could be impacted by sea level rise and flooding events from extreme storms. Seattle has limited freight corridors so delivery of goods and services are frequently impacted when extreme weather shut down part of the corridors. More electricty outages associated with more intense storms, winds, flooding, landslides and erosion could affect business operations.00
