Atualmente está em desenvolvimento o alargamento do projeto das hortas comunitárias e urbanas, que contribuirá para a produção e consumo de produtos frescos locais.No eixo II, aquisição de produtos alimentares, criámos normas no que toca à sustentabilidade das compras públicas. Depois de durante anos termos adquiridos produtos a grandes empresas situadas fora do concelho de TV, passámos a adquirir todos os nossos produtos, a produtores locais. Mesmo assumindo um acréscimo de custos financeiros, estamos a contribuir para a redução da pegada ecológica inerente ao transporte e para a sustentabilidade das pequenas e médias empresas locais.No eixo III, confeção das refeições escolares, construímos uma rede de IPSSs, que garantem, em conjunto com o MTV,, o fornecimento de 4000 refeições escolares/dia. Novamente assumindo o acréscimo de custo, a opção pela rentabilização de recursos logísticos e humanos já existentes nestas instituições, reduz significativamente a pegada ecológica inevitável caso optássemos pelo modelo mais fácil e mais barato da aquisição destas refeições a uma grande empresa de catering.No eixo IV, através de programas direcionados para as crianças, procuramos fomentar os bons hábitos alimentares e associá-los às questões da saúde.
