La base de datos de dicho informe se encuentra disponible en la página web de la 3CNCC (http://ambiente.gob.ar/tercera-comunicacion-nacional/).La información de la 3CNCC se presenta dividiendo el territorio argentino en 4 regiones, considerando la continuidad geográfica y cierta homogeneidad en sus características climáticas más relevantes. Patagones se encuentra en la región Húmeda que agrupa las provincias de Misiones, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe y Buenos Aires, y cuya característica común es no tener una pronunciada estación seca y no presentar condiciones reiteradas de estrés hídrico.
