These have allowed us to spotlight the role local governments play in national and international efforts to reduce GHG emissions as well as learn what other jurisdictions are doing. But the activities that have the most impact on our efforts are the State of California's efforts to fight climate change. Their efforts, guidance and resources have guided us in setting GHG emission reduction goals, and tools allowed us to conduct GHG emission inventories and CAP planning (SEEC ClearPath) and programs like AB32, RPS, LCFS, Title 24 energy standards with other state efforts. Additionally funding through the CPUC, CEC, Cap & Trade, and other state grant programs provide munch needed funds to help us achieve our goals.24/06/2020 05:28:18

Please provide details on the boundary of your plan, and where this differs from your city’s boundary, please provide an explanation.9Comment or describe the synergies, trade-offs, and co-benefits of this interaction1Regarding the factors that enhance the implementation of EMAAC - Municipal Climate Change Adaptation Council, the following aspects should be stressed:1. Opportunity to develop a privileged articulation with Universities and other local and regional research centers (and eventually also with companies and NGOs), using the Cork and Cork Oak Observatory as a motor and contributing to the strengthening and improvement of the existing scientific and technical knowledge 2. Preservation and / or enhancement of existing resources (such as surface and groundwater; or the montado system), stimulating a more complete forest economic cycle (exploitation of biomass, new activities, tourism value, etc.);3. Development of training and communication strategies aimed at specific groups: farmers, entrepreneurs; young; municipal technicians and policy makers;as well as promoting employment and settlement of populations;4. Opportunity to bring together a number of institutions that can have a collaborative network and to optimize the thermal comfort and energy efficiency of the state building park and the municipality; but also from the school park; the industries; through incentives for renewable energy, and the use of green or white roofs and facades;5. A set of opportunities at Community level as sources of financial support for the implementation of this Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (Portugal 2020 operational programs). They add existing green tax measures at national level, which can be incorporated by the municipality in the context of EMAAC;6. City Council leadership and reinforcement of existing partnerships and social networks, and / or creation of new ones, involving different public and private entities in order to increase the levels of responsibility that the Strategy implies, and mobilizing proximity institutions (such as Parish Councils and the Schools).7. Existing municipal contingency plans (eg cold / heat), as an example of articulating platforms for key actors to replicate;8. The willingness of key actors in the municipality of Coruche to follow a process that they consider to be a great asset;9. Importance of the dissemination of good resource management and climate change adaptation practices (eg in agriculture, irrigation and water abstraction / use; or in relation to the energy efficiency of public buildings and facilities).24/06/2020 05:30:36
