Green energy promotions are:(1) Development of solar energy:The demonstration was carried out on public building roofs first. 13.8MW solar photovoltaics facilities have been built in 126 government agencies and schools. Together with the private housing roof subsidy program, there were 190 applications subsidized by 2018, with a capacity of 17.4MW. In addition, the “green energy roof public participation program” starts in 2019 with a goal to complete an installed capacity of 10MW by 2021.(2) Wind energy:Among the 36 potential offshore wind sites announced by the Central Goverment, there is one in Taoyuan. The developer, wpd Taiwan, was selected by the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs on April 30, 2018 with an assessed installed capacity of 350MW.
