Moreover, the project develops innovative tools for carbon footprint calculation to be used by companies aiming to reduce their emissions and to improve environmental quality. The accountability process enables then to communicate transparently the committments, the results obtained and the environmental benefits gained to the local community. The methods and tools developed within the project have been adopted as standard procedure by the Municipality to increase tree planting.
