In cooperation with Finnwind Turku Energia is installing a power plant for Meyer Turku with 1584 panels (capacity 546,5 kWp).Also Turku City Group is looking at possibilities to build solar systems on its properties.The share of renewables was 36 in electricity and 30 % in district heat in 2017 and will be increased to over 50 % in both in 2018.
