Afin d’alimenter l’Étude d’Orientation de la Planification Énergie et Climat de la commune, prévue dans le cadre de ce projet, un rapport de diagnostic, remis en juillet 2017 par COPADEN, a permis d’évaluer les émissions de Gaz à Effet de Serre (GES) émis sur le territoire communal de Cocody et les villes environnantes du District d’ABIDJAN sur l’année de référence 2016. Ce diagnostic présente une photographie de la situation des émissions de GES sur le territoire de la commune de Cocody et les villes environnantes du District d’ABIDJAN en 2017 et 2018. L’étude porte sur le territoire de la Commune de Cocody voir CARTE.Toutefois, du fait de l’interaction de ce territoire avec les autres communes du District d’Abidjan ainsi qu’avec le reste de la Côte d’Ivoire (flux vers Yamoussoukro, Bouaké et vers Korhogo…), l’étude devra porter, quand de nécessaire, sur l’ensemble de la Côte d’Ivoire.En posant les bases nécessaires à des simulations de projections à horizon2030, son but est d’ouvrir la voie à un travail complémentaire sur l’établissement de scénarii bas-carbone à horizon 2030.
