One of San Francisco’s ecological landmarks, Heron’s Head Park is a 22-acre open space and thriving wildlife habitat located in the City’s Southeast Sector. The existing shoreline on the south side of the park is experiencing severe erosion and consequently discharges sediment into the Bay. The proposed project would stabilize the shoreline, improve habitat and biodiversity, and include sea level rise adaptation, as possible.
