Según el Censo Nacional de Población y Vivienda de 2010 elaborado por INEGI, la población total de la ciudad de La Paz es de 226,593 habitantes. En los aspectos climáticos para la ciudad de La Paz, se tienen temperaturas máximas absolutas promedio anuales de 43° C, temperatura máxima media anual de 28° C, temperatura mínima media anual de 18° C y una temperatura mínima absoluta de 2° C. Precipitación total anual de 178 mm. No obstante que la precipitación es de las más bajas del país, las lluvias que se generan son de muy alta intensidad y corta duración, se ha observado que en la parte alta de la cuenca de La Paz, en una superficie de aproximadamente 520 kilómetros cuadrados (km2), es susceptible de realizarse aprovechamientos hidráulicos, la precipitación media anual en esa zona es de 300 milímetros (mm), de los cuales 60 por ciento presenta escurrimientos cuyos coeficientes van desde 0.8 a 0.2, en promedio 0.5, lo cual representa más de 25 millones de m3 de disponibilidad de aguas superficiales.24/06/2020 05:30:36
