We cut our oil consumption in half at City hall with air vent and pipe insulation. We installed modified air handlers to allow more efficient operation in Beverly High School. As of May 2011, the City has adopted the Stretch Energy code which increases the energy efficient code requirements for new construction (both residential and commercial) and for major residential renovations or additions. The City has converted to LED lighting at all schools, the main public library, the department of public works, and City Fire facilities. Currently the City is in the process of upgrading our street lights to LED.Within the next 2 years, the City plans to prepare a Climate Action Plan. Our hope is to identify targets for energy efficiency within that plan. | 24/06/2020 05:30:36 | |||
