Así como que los países en vías de desarrollo adopten tecnologías limpias que les permitan un desarrollo desligado del aumento de emisiones. Ecología y Desarrollo es consciente de que frenar el cambio climático es un reto colectivo y que requiere una acción inmediata que conduzca a un modelo de desarrollo bajo en carbono. Por ello, con el objetivo general de reducir el impacto sobre el clima de las actividades humanas.América Latina y el Caribe es una vasta región que abarca algo más de 2.000 millones de has (Mha), 46 países (territorios dependientes y departamentos de ultramar) y más de 610 millones de habitantes.
