As a small team of non-scientists, we utilized publicly-available sources to calculate the emissions, specifically: the environmental disclosure report filed with the state by the local electrical utility (electricity), the US EPA Greenhouse Gas Emissions Calculator (natural gas and city fleet gasoline), sunearthtools.com (city fleet biodiesel), the US EPA WARM spreadsheet calculator tool (waste), and the World Bank's CURB tool (transportation). Volunteers on the city's Natural Resources Commission reviewed the calculations but not with the rigor of a professional and paid third party reviewer. We created the first baseline in 2017 using three years of data and believe we have identified and resolved any weaknesses in the data and calculation processes, but we are open to CDP's review and suggestions for strengthening future versions.24/06/2020 05:30:36
