El sector industrial consumió más del 50% de la energía producida, los hogares consumieron el 23%, la agricultura el 11%, el sector comercial 7% y el alumbrado público, junto con el bombeo de agua, menos del 3%. Un total de 401,812 hogares en el área metropolitana de León están conectados a la red, de los cuales 370,748 se encuentran en la zona urbana y más de 31,000 en comunidades rurales.De acuerdo con el estudio TRACE (2015), en el municipio se tiene un consumo de energía en edificios públicos municipales de 6.68 kWh por metro cuadrado y debido a que el clima es templado todo el año, las edificaciones requieren poco uso de aire acondicionado y calefacción. El municipio aún podría implementar mejoras, tales como el remplazo de equipo de iluminación eficiente (LED sin fluorescentes) mejorar las regulaciones locales para incluir la eficiencia energética.El Municipio de León está interesado en fomentar eficiencia energética en los sectores residencial, industrial y comercial elaborando nuevos códigos y regulaciones que promuevan el uso eficiente de energía para suministro de edificios públicos y la calefacción por energía solar. When using the inventory data for aggregation, comparison and trend analysis, please note that the inventory data is based on non-verified self-reported city inputs. The reported inventory may not include all emission sources within the city boundary.
Please note that this dataset may contain data from cities or, in some instances, groups of cities at different administrative levels. This includes metropolitan areas, combined authorities, and 5 American regional councils, which are: Chicago Metropolitan Mayors Caucus; Denver Regional Council of Governments; Metropolitan Council, Twin Cities; Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; and Mid-America Regional Council.
