Strengthening the application of measures to combat climate changes is the most functional systemic approach for performing the policy of sustainable development. Therefore, the priority action in the Capital City Sustainable Development Action plan is the harmonization among all development projects towards measures of climate protection. Action of all authorized offices of the Capital city must be based on this systemic approach in order to provide efficient implementation of strategic documents for climate changes and energy efficiency. Within the GIZ program of Climate Change Adaptation in Western Balkan (CCAWB) and with the support by one German and great number of foreign experts, the Capital city has finalized the first local document in the field of climate changes: a strategy to climate change adaptation defining a set of measures for implementation in the future period. General goals: 2 (exchange of data, knowledge and communication) and 3 (improvement of approach “to overall planning” which integrates data from public and interested in the process of the adoption of acceptable decisions) of this document specifically recognize the key role of education at all levels and in all relevant issues, as well as the key activities of the communication strategies and instruments for exchanging data and knowledge and fostering the implementation of adaptation measures. Measure of this document – Educational/informative campaign on climate changes - is marked as a measure of high priority which once again confirms that education and data exchange are primary means to combat climate changes.Enhancing the capacities for the evaluation of adaption measurements and analysis of efficiency is also an emphasized priority in the document. Additionally, the Strategy is in great part harmonized with spatial-plan solutions defined in the Spatial urban plan of the Capital City, which also regulates the overall social-economic development of it.07/16/2021 01:47:15
