La investigación se basó en una metodología que tiene como fin representar la realidad territorial y social de la población, mediante el análisis de distintas variables para generar índices que permitan establecer una ruta a seguir para realizar una adecuada gestión de riesgo, que tenga un carácter prospectivo y correctivo, para ello se realizó la distribución de las amenazas y las vulnerabilidades,utilizando como herramienta los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG) cuyo fin es calcular índices y realizar su respectiva cartografía.En cuanto a amenazas, se logró evidenciar que en el cantón La Unión se ha manifestado terremotos, deslizamientos, caída de ceniza volcánica, inundaciones, escapes de gas tóxico y se cuenta con otras con un potencial de generar daños como lo son las explosiones en gasolineras y el poliducto de RECOPE.La población de La Unión es vulnerable debido a distintos factores, tales como la exposición a las amenazas, a problemas económicos, el acceso a educación y la propia composición como su densidad por unidad de área.A través del estudio realizado, se genera una metodología aplicada desde la óptica de la ciencia, la cual integra múltiples criterios, que permiten tener una visión integral de la gestión de riesgo.07/16/2021 01:47:15
