Between 2014 and 2018, there were 769 excess winter deaths in Nottingham according to Public Health England data, including 224 Excess Winter Deaths for 2017-18.Children living in cold homes are at higher risk of respiratory problems than children living in warm homes. Adolescents living in cold housing are at higher risk of multiple mental health problems compared to adolescents in warm homes. This may or may not reduce due to climate change around the UK.
