The carbon footprint is a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory that allows identifying the total carbon dioxide (CO2) equivalent emitted by an organization and the sources that generate this emission. On the other hand, the water footprint is an indicator to measure the volume of water required directly and indirectly, along the supply chain, to make a product or provide a service. In that sense, the quantification of the carbon footprint and water footprint of the District Municipality of Jesús María will cover the six annexes of the referred municipality, taking into account the guidelines exposed in the international standards ISO 10064 (carbon footprint) and ISO 14046 (water footprint). The benefits for the Municipality of Jesús María are:- Efficiency in the use of inputs: It identifies opportunities for improving the management of resources such as energy, water, and other inputs, generating savings in its industrial operations.- Information management: Generates new information for decision-making.- Staff awareness: Integrates its workers in a culture of environmental care that ensures resources for future generations.- Talent retention: New talent not only looks for the best salaries but also workspaces committed to the environment.07/16/2021 01:47:15
