Infrastructure determines our city’s resilience to a number of global risks, in particular environmental, social and health-related risks. When urbanization is rapid a combination of high population density can foster conditions for contagious diseases to flourish. Moving to a city offers individuals more opportunities to improve their living conditions, but high cost of living and competition for livelihoods can also trap people in poverty, which can also quickly lead to urban violence and social unrest. Our City is exposed to the effects of climate change such as high risk of flooding, extreme heat days, flash floods, urban heat island effect, etc. | 07/16/2021 01:47:15 | |||
