It sets 2030 environmental and social development targets based on expected demographic and economic growth. The environmental goals (including emission reduction targets) are illustrated in the master plan:- as a general objective in the section dedicated the overall vision supporting the Plan and- more in detail in the paragraph dedicated to the environmental strategies.Environmental targets are also shown in detail in the dedicated chapter of the Environmental Assessment. The most important document regarding this target (emission reduction) is the Annex to the City Master Plan where standards and regulations for the implementation of Plan are presented (this Annex is named "Piano delle Regole").In detail, in Article n.10 of the above mentioned Annex (Piano delle Regole), mandatory requirements and incentives are fixed for new and existing buildings subject to deep retrofit. In this new version of the Plan a new approach has been adopted, integrating energy efficiency , emission reduction, adaptation (specifically permeability standards) and renewable energy.A set of regulations is designed regarding the different topics (energy efficiency, renewable energy, green roofs, permeability, sustainable materials). When making a new building or deep retrofit works in order to be compliant, one must choose between different options within the above cited set of regulation, while incentives are provided for those who comply with the whole set of regulations07/16/2021 01:47:15

The approach undertaken by the Municipality is through upcycling of waste products treating waste as a resource to support the needs of the communities -- ecobricks for construction, eco-paddles for boats, bean bags for schools and organic fertilizers from biodegradables. The development of the project is ongoing with funding coming from National Government and Local Government. Changes in water availability, particularly reductions in the summer, may lead to increased water shortage, affecting the supply for various services and facilities across Nottingham. Recent years of prolonged hot periods and shorter rainfall seasons have created considerable regional water stress as the warmer weather pushes up water usage.07/16/2021 01:47:15
