If your city does not have any relevant projects, please select 'No relevant projects' under 'Project Area'.7Project description and attach project proposal2O Município de Braga têm como prioritário o investimento para a construção de uma nova ETAR (tendo iniciado este processo em 2015) pois permite aumentar a resiliência do Sistema, bem como o reforço substancial da capacidade de tratamento instalada, e ainda pela divisão dos caudais de descarga em duas bacias, mantendo-se, no entanto, a interligação entre os Sistemas, permitindo corrigir definitivamente os problemas actuais existentes.O principal objectivo do investimento a realizar consiste no reforço do sistema de tratamento de Águas Residuais do Concelho de Braga, o que só será conseguido com a construção da nova ETAR de Vale de Este, que drenará para uma outra bacia, a bacia hidrográfica do rio Ave, e terá capacidade de tratamento dos efluentes de cerca de 180.000 habitantes equivalentes, e assim irá eliminar as actuais descargas indevidas, constituindo em conjunto com a ETAR de Frossos, a garantia de capacidade de tratamento e de descarga necessárias para o cumprimento da Directiva Águas Residuais Urbanas no respectivo sistema.Com esta nova ETAR serão obtidos elevados benefícios ambientais e de saúde pública, permitindo não só tratar convenientemente as águas residuais do Sistema Cidade de Braga, com um importante impacto no sistema sensível onde se encontra, mas também permitir dividir a descarga de caudais entre as 2 bacias hidrográficas (Cávado e Ave) com inevitáveis benefícios ambientais.Esta estratégia de actuação permite aumentar a resiliência do Sistema, quer pelo reforço substancial da capacidade de tratamento instalada, quer pela divisão dos caudais de descarga em duas bacias, mantendo-se, no entanto, a interligação entre os Sistemas.A construção de uma ETAR no vale do rio Este visa essencialmente assegurar a protecção do ambiente em geral dos efeitos nefastos das descargas das águas residuais urbanas, contribuindo para a melhoria da qualidade das massas de água, na medida em que assegurará que a ETAR de Frossos operará dentro das suas condições ideais de tratamento, e que as águas descarregadas na Ribeira de Panoias cumprirão os exigentes requisitos ambientais impostos pela Tutela. A criação de capacidade incremental de tratamento de águas residuais no Município de Braga, para além do contributo para a melhoria da qualidade das massas de água, incentivará o esforço de aumento da taxa de adesão à rede de saneamento, ainda insuficiente no Município, permitindo ainda acomodar efluentes provenientes do crescimento populacional expectável.Na solução preconizada, a ETAR do Este será equipada com tratamento secundário para remoção de carga de carbono presente no efluente, detendo ainda a capacidade de oxigenação necessária à ocorrência dos processos de nitrificação e de desnitrificação. Em acréscimo, será ainda dotada de desinfecção, garantido um tratamento mais avançado que o secundário. A construção desta ETAR pressupõe a instalação de uma câmara repartidora de caudais que permitirá a divisão hidráulica, que introduzirá flexibilidade no sistema de drenagem e tratamento, e ainda a construção de um emissário de DN1000 com cerca de 3,7 km.07/16/2021 01:47:15
