When assessing target achievement, the effect of Norwegian participation in the European climate quota system for enterprises shall be taken into account.The goal of a low-emission society is anchored in the climate agreement from 2012, cf. 390 S (2011–2012) and in Meld. St. 13 (2014–2015) New emission obligation for 2030 - a common solution with the EU.In the climate agreement, the majority of the Storting also pointed out that an ambitious policy nationally must be sensible in a global context, where the overall goal is to reduce the total global emissions of greenhouse gases.This means that the consequences of the quota system, the risk of carbon leakage and the industry's competitiveness are taken into account when formulating the policy. When using the inventory data for aggregation, comparison and trend analysis, please note that the inventory data is based on non-verified self-reported city inputs. The reported inventory may not include all emission sources within the city boundary.
Please note that this dataset may contain data from cities or, in some instances, groups of cities at different administrative levels. This includes metropolitan areas, combined authorities, and 5 American regional councils, which are: Chicago Metropolitan Mayors Caucus; Denver Regional Council of Governments; Metropolitan Council, Twin Cities; Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; and Mid-America Regional Council.
