This is a Paris-compliant 2°C pathway. These reductions will come from transitioning to renewable electricity, changes to commute patterns, the electrification of transport, the electrification of natural gas uses in buildings, and reducing demand for energy across all sectors. Phase II of the Climate Smart San José Plan, conducting analysis on carbon sequestration and zero-waste strategies, is currently underway.
