Enquanto em alguns países já se tomou consciência da sua importância, produzindo legislação própria e implementando soluções de gestão, noutras paragens do globo a abordagem do problema encontra-se ainda numa fase muito incipiente. Quer isto dizer que o tradicional modelo de drenagem de águas pluviais que promove a recolha e o transporte das águas superficiais recolhidas em meio urbano, até à sua descarga num meio recetor, partindo do princípio que esta não provoca impactos nestes sistemas, não pode ser mais aceite, uma vez que promove o aumento dos caudais de cheia e a transferência da carga poluente para as seções de jusante. Deste modo, a redução da disponibilidade de água por via do aumento da temperatura mundial devido às alterações climáticas pode fundamentar a necessidade de integrar as águas pluviais no circulo urbano da água por meio de legislação.07/16/2021 01:47:15
