Es por ello que se modificó el esquema de pago por compensaciones ambientales, el proceso tradicional de pago de compensación ambiental por impactos negativos relacionaba la equivalencia de los daños de manera proporcional a la entrega de especies arbóreas al vivero municipal, árboles que posteriormente se incorporaban a la imagen urbana y sobre todo a incrementar la cobertura vegetal de la ciudad.Sin embargo se estableció una nueva estrategia en el mecanismo de compensación ambiental, la finalidad es aportar no solo a la conservación ambiental, si no al desarrollo social de diversos grupos de la ciudad. Este nuevo esquema permitió que sitios en donde no se tenía acceso a servicios básicos, pudieran acceder a ellos en su propia comunidad rural, englobando a su vez el concepto de adaptación y mitigación a efectos adversos al medio ambiente. Entre otros apoyos sociales, las compensaciones ambientales pueden ser dirigidas tanto a la conservación y restauración de ecosistemas naturales como a la inclusión y atención de grupos vulnerables.07/16/2021 01:47:15
