It stretches from a hilltop setting below Mt. Maiella and above the Sangro Valley ad its history goes back to before the Roman era. Its surrounding area enjoys the pleasures of wooded mountains, rolling hills and cove-marked coastline. As all municipalities of Abruzzo Region, Chieti has joined the Covenant of Mayors initiative thus submitting and monitoring its PAES and it is now working under the coordination of Abruzzo Region and within the JOINT_SECAP (Iterreg Italy-Croatia Progamme) to update its PAES into a joint PAESC (with other municipalities of Abruzzo Region) according to a district logic per homogeneous climate areas.07/16/2021 01:47:15

If your city has both mitigation and energy access plans, please make sure to attach all relevant documents below.10Describe the synergies, trade-offs, and co-benefits of this interaction1The plan is focusing on the UN SDG:s 7 and 13 but have obvious benefits also for goal 8, 9, 11, 12 and 15. The principles of the plan, to prioritize 1reduced energy demand, 2 residual heat before renewable energy and to avoid fossil fuels and finite resourses have several co-benefits. It is good for the climate and environment, as well as for our economy and geopolitical independence. The sustainability analysis of the meassures in the plan shows that they are favourable for the climate, environment, public health and local economy. in most cases the meassures are also favourable for the municipal economy. When it comes to fuel cells in vehicles there is an obvious trade off between economy and benefits for the environment and public health. Because of this we are focusing on pilote projects in this area. We also detected a risk that some meassures will decrease bio-diversity in the forrest. This is partly handeled by prioritizing reduced energy demand over renewable enery production.07/16/2021 01:47:15

Description

This data is collected through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System. When using this data, please cite both organisations using the following wording: ‘This data was collected in partnership by CDP and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability’.
This dataset contains the full responses of publicly disclosing cities in 2020. To view the complete cities 2020 questionnaire guidance, including all questions asked in 2020, visit https://www.cdp.net/en/guidance/guidance-for-cities. Please contact cities@cdp.net if you have any questions.
When using the inventory data for aggregation, comparison and trend analysis, please note that the inventory data is based on non-verified self-reported city inputs. The reported inventory may not include all emission sources within the city boundary.
Please note that this dataset may contain data from cities or, in some instances, groups of cities at different administrative levels. This includes metropolitan areas, combined authorities, and 5 American regional councils, which are: Chicago Metropolitan Mayors Caucus; Denver Regional Council of Governments; Metropolitan Council, Twin Cities; Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments; and Mid-America Regional Council.
This view contains data from the CDP Cities Europe, CDP Cities Africa and CDP Cities Middle East Authority Regions.
