Unos de los principales afectados con este problema eran los vecinos de Cercado de Lima que carecen de áreas verdes dado que no cuentan con la cantidad sufiente de agua para el riego y mntenimiento de las mismas. Lo que se busca es enfrentar este problema, a través de la alianza con Nestlé, de modo que el agua potable para riego se disminuya, se reusen aguas tratadas y se puedan recuperar áreas verdes. De este modo, reducir el estrés hídrico fomentando la recuperación y mantenimiento de las áreas verdes del distrito; y mejorando la calidad de vida de los vecinos y vecinas. Con el objetivo de reducir el estrés hídrico la Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima y Nestlé, con el apoyo de Aquafondo, han desarrollado un proyecto de reúso de aguas residuales tratadas para el riego de áreas verdes en el distrito de Cercado de Lima. Estas aguas residuales completan un proceso de depuración, cumpliendo con las normas de calidad vigentes para el reúso, en la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales (PTAR) de Nestlé. Posteriormente, son recolectadas por camiones cisternas municipales que llevan a cabo el riego programado. De este modo se busca contribuir con la reducción del estrés hídrico, al aumento de la eficiencia en el uso del agua y la mejora de la calidad de vida de la población a través del mantenimiento y recuperación de áreas verdes.El convenio de este proyecto tiene una duración de 3 años, se ha firmado en el 2018 y se está ejecutando desde enero del 2019. A la fecha se ha logrado suministrar 20 mil m3 de agua tratada que han sido dispuestos, a través de un cronograma de riego, para el mantenimiento y recuperación de 68 174 m2 de áreas verdes del distrito de Cercado. Por otro lado, se ha capacitado a más de 50 vecinos y vecinas de la zona 3 de Cercado de Lima respecto a la problemática del estrés hídrico a través de visitas guiadas a la PTAR de Nestlé junto con talleres de creación y cuidado de áreas verdes. El proyecto estima que Nestlé pueda suministrar 32 850 m3 de agua residual tratada al año. Asimismo, el reemplazo del agua potable por agua tratada de este proyecto, hasta el momento, ha permitido un ahorro de 64 mil soles para la Municipalidad, el cual se estima sea de 104 mil soles por año.07/16/2021 01:47:15
