Gaziantep has a mysterious history where different civilizations, cultures and religions come together and synthesized among each other. Due to the passing of the historical Silk Road, it has been a popular destination for civilizations and has maintained its status as a cultural and commercial center in every period of history. The diversity of historical monuments in Gaziantep is an indication of the city's cultural richness.Gaziantep Castle was built as a watchtower on a hill with a natural rock in the north and a mound in the south during the Roman period. It took its present form during the reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian. Memluks, Dulkadiroglu and the Ottomans undergone various repairs during the castle, the monumental architecture remains with its presence. After the Ottoman rule, the city began to be rapidly reconstructed, new buildings increased, and the people lived in prosperity until the decline of the Ottoman Empire. In 1818-1819, the city temporarily became an accident in Aleppo. This situation led to the development of Antep in social, economic and commercial aspects. This situation, which continued until the First World War, was disrupted with the occupation of the British and then the French in 1919. In the war against Antep for 10 months and 9 days against the enemy women, men, the eldest, the smallest struggling with the city, February 8, 1921, "Gazi" was the title. On December 25, 1921, Gaziantep continued to develop rapidly with the declaration of the Republic, which escaped from the occupation of the enemy. Gaziantep, which is one of the most important places of the region with its historical, cultural values, its cuisine that includes delicious Antep dishes, five organized industrial zones, intercity and international connection routes, welcomes thousands of tourists every year. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05 | |||
