The City's General Plan 2030 includes a “Sustainability Element” as its opening chapter, setting the policy framework for Fremont to “serve as a national model of how an auto-oriented suburb can evolve into a sustainable, strategically urban, modern city.” In February 2019, City Council adopted a Carbon Neutrality Resolution, setting the new goal of emissions reductions to 100% below 2005 levels by 2045. The City is currently updating its Climate Action Plan based on this goal and is expected to publish the new plan in early 2021.01/20/2022 02:27:05
