Governance and Data ManagementGovernance1.0Please detail sustainability goals and targets (e.g. GHG reductions) that are incorporated into your city’s master plan and describe how these are addressed in the table below.2Description13Interreg Alpine Space Manifesto for circular economyIn December 2019, Hermosillo and IDB (Interamerican Development Bank) hosted URBELAC's* first circular economy forum. It had the participation of 16 cities in European and Latin American countries, for the exchange of successful experiences on the topic of sustainable development. *URBELAC stands for "Urban European and Latin American and Caribbean cities". During the forum, Hermosillo signed the Interreg Alpine Space Manifesto for circular economy (GREENCYCLE project). GREENCYCLE aims to introduce the system of circular economy as a holistic approach to support implementation of low-carbon strategies and provide additional 2-4 % greenhouse emission reduction to the partner cities. Circular economy deployment will save energy, water, re-cover critical raw materials, reduce transport, boost the ecoinnovation, create green jobs and benefit to low income citizens. As the biggest emissions producers and the biggest energy and materials consumers, cities should play the pioneering role by developing circular economy implementation strategies.Further reading:https://twitter.com/ImplanHMO/status/1202344336563810304https://circulareconomy.europa.eu/platform/en/good-practices/circular-economy-holisticapproach-towards-low-carbon-alpine-cities01/20/2022 02:27:05
