El proyecto consiste en promover la disminución del consumo de plástico de un solo uso en el cantón, incluyendo el estereofón, fomentando en el comercio la sustitución de los empaques no biodegradables e informando a la población sobre las consecuencias que tiene el uso de estos productos desechables en el ambiente, brindando opciones que sean de menos impacto en la naturaleza y creando de esta manera conciencia en los consumidores, los proveedores y los generadores. Este compromiso se manifiesta incluso desde el Concejo Municipal del Gobierno Local del nuestra ciudad, con el objetivo de promover procesos de sensibilización y acciones a favor del ambiente. En la Sesión Ordinaria No. 95 del 29 de junio de 2017, se acuerda aprobar el informe de la Comisión de Medio Ambiente, comunicado a través del oficio SM-632-2017, que cita:Se realiza el 26-06-2017 al ser las 19:00 en el salón de sesiones con la presencia de Gustavo Ortiz presidente, Ronald Corrales secretario y Catalina Pérez regidora propietaria y además del comunicador Jorge Coto de la Municipalidad.Punto 2.-Se recibe la estrategia y declaratoria nacional para la sustitución de plásticos de un solo uso por lo que esta comisión de forma unánime y apegados al punto 7 de la moción presentada por el Presidente Municipal Gustavo Ortiz Meseguer resuelve apoyar el siguiente texto de declaratoria:“La Municipalidad del Cantón de La Unión, considerando:Primero: Que el consumo indiscriminado de productos plásticos de un solo uso causa un grave impacto en el medio ambiente, debido a que se trata de desechos sólidos que están contaminando nuestros ríos, costas y mares.Segundo: Que el cantón de La Unión se ha distinguido por ser un cantón progresista y comprometido con la protección del medio ambiente.Tercero: Que la actividad comercial juega un papel muy importante en la economía del cantón.Cuarto: Que el cantón de La Unión, está totalmente comprometido con el desarrollo sostenible de la población, de la mano con el medio ambiente. Quinto: Conscientes de que únicamente con la participación activa y mediante un esfuerzo conjunto del Gobierno Local, Gobierno Central y sus instituciones, organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG), universidades, empresa privada, consumidores y público en general se puede enfrentar el problema de contaminación por plásticos de un solo uso.Sexto: Que los esfuerzos individuales y colectivos deben traducirse en líneas de acción positiva.DECLARA:Primero: Que el cantón de La Unión se une a la Estrategia Nacional para la Sustitución de Plásticos de Un Solo Uso y su programa Zona Libre de Plástico.Segundo: De interés para población residente y visitante del cantón de La Unión, la Estrategia Nacional para la Sustitución de Plásticos de un Solo Uso y su programa Zona Libre de Plástico.Tercero: Su compromiso activo y positivo para ser impulsor y facilitador de la transición de productos plásticos de un solo uso por alternativas renovables y compostables en el comercio local.Cuarto: Su apoyo a toda iniciativa y acción de organizaciones públicas y privadas para la protección del medio ambiente y la mitigación, prevención y erradicación de la contaminación de los ríos, costas y mares.Plan de Accion para la reduccion plasticos y estereofón v_final_incorporado Acuerdo (1).pdf01/20/2022 02:27:05
