| 01/19/2022 02:30:06

The city is working on an Integrated Mobility Plan with a focus on moving people and not cars, as was traditionally done with Master Transportation Plans. Recent support from residents for separated bike lanes in Burlington has been noted as many people did take up cycling during the pandemic. Burlington Transit is transitioning back to full service in September, based on service improvements implemented back in 2019 prior to the pandemic which resulted in a 14% increase in ridership. Burlington Transit is also studying the feasibility of transitioning buses to either electric or hydrogen to reduce the carbon footprint of the bus fleet. A full report on recommended zero emission bus options will be presented in the first quarter of 2022. | 01/19/2022 02:30:06
