Em relação a geologia, verifica-se que em Rolândia são identificadas litologias pertencentes à Formação Serra Geral (Grupo São Bento) e à formação Santo Anastácio (Grupo Bauru), e o tipo de solo predominante é o de Nitossolos Vermelhos Eutroférricos, também conhecido como Terra Roxa Estruturada. O município se localiza na Unidade Aquífera tipo Serra Geral Norte, sob três bacias, Bacia do Paranapanema III, Bacia do Tibagi e Bacia do Pirapó. Faz parte do Bioma Mata Atlântica, em que há predominância das características fitogeográficas da Floresta Estacional Semidecidual ou Floresta Pluvial no município. Rolândia tem uma população estimada em 2020 de 67.383 pessoas, sendo que há dados de 2019 de 24.039 pessoas ocupadas, ou seja, 36,1% da população. O salário médio mensal dos trabalhadores formais é de 2,2 salários mínimos. O PIB per capita em 2018 foi de R$ 40.410,66. A área da unidade territorial é de 459,024 km², com a densidade demográfica de 148,36 hab/km² em 2020. No ano de 2010, há registros de 54.749 habitantes na área urbana e 3.113 habitantes na área rural. La municipalidad almacena estos datos diarias desde el mes de marzo del 2018, elaborando gráficos en mm acumulados, cantidad de lluvia acumulada por sitio, Promedio de precipitación por lugar, precipitación máxima reportada, así como curvas de Intensidad Duración y Frecuencia (IDF).
