Even after the First World War, two very different towns existed at the mouth of the river of the same name. To the south the oldest Pescara (now Portanuova), grown on the ruins of the sixteenth-century fortress that guarded the river and the Adriatic 16th to the graft of the Via Tiburtina-Valeria outlet of the most important valley of Abruzzo. After the construction of the railway, almost nothing remains of the ramparts, and little of the subsequent settlement (the penal bath and some modest buildings including the house of D'Annunzio). North of the river, in the narrow strip of land that stretches between the hills and the sea, it had developed since 1806, taking as its fulcrum the sanctuary of the Madonna dei Sette Dolori, Castellammare Adriatico, which with the arrival of the railway and the construction della Stazione (1863) had a certain development.The merger of the two municipalities (1926) took place, patronage Gabriele D'Annunzio, with the appointment as chief town of a small province derived from those of Chieti and Teramo, straddling the river.The new buildings in the provincial capital are built as far as possible along the Adriatic, now Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which continues to be the main artery of the city, and joins the two nuclei through a bridge, built in 1934. The dense occupation of the central areas following the post-war reconstruction leads the city to expand outwards. The construction of the industrial area between Pescara and Chieti, the motorway connections and the equipped axis, the installation of some Faculties of the D'Annunzio University, the new headquarters of regional and state offices, the new Central Station of the State Railways, the tourist port still modify the general picture offering new possibilities and preparing Pescara for the challenge with the third millennium. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05 | |||

El programa SEPARAR PARA RECICLAR, es un eje fundamental del Plan Integral de los Residuos Sólidos Urbanos.SEPARAR PARA RECICLAR, incluye spots radiales publicitarios, folletería, publicidad fija y un amplio programa de educación ambiental para instituciones educativas de todos los niveles.La separación en origen consiste en clasificar los residuos domiciliarios en ORGÁNICOS E INORGÁNICOS y colocarlos en bolsas separadas y disponerlos en los tachos de basura domiciliarios según el día que corresponda (Lunes-Miércoles y Viernes para orgánicos y Martes y Jueves para inorgánicos), de esta manera aumenta la eficiencia, no sólo en la recuperación de residuos, sino también en la recolección y disposición final de los mismos.Nuestra lógica es que mientras más materiales se recuperan de la basura, menos materia prima será necesario extraer para elaborar productos, porque con los materiales reciclados se elaboran con menor costo ambiental y económico los mismos productos, protegiendo en forma directa los recursos naturales.General Alvear ha realizado desde 2011 pruebas pilotos en diferentes barrios con la ubicación de contenedores de gran porte (3m3) para la disposición de residuos clasificados en origen. Los resultados de estas pruebas siempre han sido positivos. Además, se han dispuesto contenedores de 1000lts en todos los establecimientos educativos de todos los niveles y algunos edificios públicos.Por ende consideramos que, continuar con la ubicación de contenedores para la disposición de residuos en este caso, secos, reciclables e inorgánicos, facilita no solo la recolección de los mismos, sino también con la campaña iniciada hace ya 6 años de “SEPARAR PARA RECICLAR”. La meta máxima de este programa es que en todos los hogares se realice la clasificación de residuos. La ubicación de contenedores para materiales seleccionados en casa es una gran herramienta para esta meta difícil de alcanzar, pero que con el tiempo, utilizando estrategias de comunicación y herramientas como contenedores podremos alcanzarla. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05 |

This dataset contains a subset of the related full cities dataset, covering Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Action questions for publicly disclosing cities in 2021. The platform is still open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
