CCAP City is an aggregator of disparate datasets across planning and development, transport, environment and engagement, providing users with the ability to deliver “smart city” governance that is responsive to data, trends and city performance. The City's operational inventory is compiled and audited annually. We have maintained carbon neutral certification for our operational emissions since 2008. The methodologies applied to the collection and calculation of data and emissions is contained in internal procedural documents.01/20/2022 02:27:05

OpportunitiesCollaboration6.2aPlease provide some key examples of how your city collaborates with business and/or industries in the table below.3Description of collaboration1The city works together with many stakeholders including businesses. Depending on the topic and the opportunity that it presents for the relevant parties, the city engages in collaborations. For example, Operation Steenbreek is a nationally organized movement to encourage the greening of pavements. The municipality supports their intiative by granting subsidies to their citizens. For some waste, it is evaluated if it is cheaper/more effective to let a company separate recyclable waste instead of expecting citizens to do it themselves. The city collaborates with housing corporations to reach CO2 emission reduction goals. Housing corporation Vestia has built a seawater heat-cold plant that provides coastal neighbourhoods with housing warmth. For organic waste, Van Vliet Contrans processes garden waste from The Hague into compost and electricity for its waste trucks. For industrial CO2 emissions, OCAP pipe company, together with AgroEnergy and various greenhouse farm companies southeast of the city could be involved in a CO2 capturing/biomass energy project.01/20/2022 02:27:05
