Introduction0.1Please give a general description and introduction to your city including your city’s reporting boundary in the table below.2Description of city1Please complete長野県内19市の中で最南端に位置し、浜松市と隣接しており、比較的温暖な地域です。 01/20/2022 02:27:05

Governance and Data ManagementGovernance1.7Please provide information specifically on the impact of the COVID-19 economic response on climate action in your city and synergies between COVID-19 recovery interventions and climate action.3Explanation1ResponseThroughout semester 1 of 2020 the government has implemented various efforts and policies to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic with an emphasis on the health sector. This can be seen in the formation of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 through Presidential Decree No. 7 of 2020 on March 13, 2020.In addition, the government issued various policies, among others, issuing various other regulations, issuing various health rules and protocols/guidelines, hand washing campaigns, using masks, massive social distancing, establishing large-scale social restrictions in various regions, prohibiting Eid homecoming, preparing laboratories for COVID-19 tests, running COVID-19 tests in various places, to establishing a new normal order. In semester 2 of 2020, the government made efforts continues to campaign for the use of masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands with soap. In the face of this economic crisis, the Government of Indonesia has issued a number of large-scale fiscal stimulus packages through the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN). In terms of the amount of government budget that is intended to reduce the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the Government of Indonesia allocated around Rp. 695.2 trillion (approximately US$ 49 billion) for PEN.Indonesia continues to make a number of improvement efforts in strengthening its various social protection programs to deal with the crisis after the COVID-19 pandemic. These social protection programs have been expanded to protect the poor against economic shocks, as well as the lower middle income community whose numbers continue to increase but become vulnerable to the risk of falling into poverty later in life. In addition, small businesses also receive government assistance in line with their efforts to continue to survive amidst the economic downturn and restrictions on community activities after the COVID-19 pandemic.01/20/2022 02:27:05

AdaptationAdaptation Planning3.2aPlease provide more information on your plan that addresses climate change adaptation and/or resilience and attach the document. Please provide details on the boundary of your plan, and where this differs from your city’s boundary, please provide an explanation.11Describe the synergies, trade-offs, and co-benefits of this interaction2The tree planting scheme is aimed to leave a sustainability legacy from the Commonwealth Games for communities to enjoy. The purpose is also to offset the carbon from the Commonwealth Games to ensure the event is carbon neutral. Finding space for the number o trees that will need to be planted requires trade offs on landuse - the trees will need to remain for a minimum of 30-35 years in order to maximise the offsetting potential. During this time the land cannot be used for anything else. However, there are synergies around biodiversity targets for the region (as long as 'right tree, right place' principles are followed) that are in keeping with the region's national capital plan. There will also be adaptation benefits from cooling and provision of nature-based solutions to prevent flooding.Other synergies relate to some of the public health benefits we might expect from the tree planting programme. The sustainability legacy from the Commonwealth Games is being implemented alongside a public health/ active communities programme. There are clear links with the social prescribing agenda and encouraging people to get 'active in nature'.01/20/2022 02:27:05
