Governance and Data ManagementGovernance1.6Please provide information on the overall impact of COVID-19 on climate action in your city.2Comment1ResponseWith the adoption of the Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan (CECAP) in May 2020, emphasis on climate has continued to grow. Changes in work patterns due to COVID-19 have resulted in some reduction in GHG from employee commutes to and from work. We also found correlation between COVID infections and those residents in economic opportunity zones with more potential impacts from poor air quality and a changing climate. One direct impact was that with the government shutdown, we delayed Council adoption of the CECAP by a month so that the public would be able to have additional opportunities to review the plan prior to adoption.01/20/2022 02:27:05
