Governance and Data ManagementGovernance1.0Please detail sustainability goals and targets (e.g. GHG reductions) that are incorporated into your city’s master plan and describe how these are addressed in the table below.2Description11Cooperation agreement with WRI (World Resources Institute) for TheCityFix Labs initiative. The World Resources Institute (WRI) is a global research organization that spans more than 60 countries; WRI focuses in turning ideas into action at the nexus of environment, economic opportunity and human well-being.TheCityFix Labs is a collaborative initiative between WRI Mexico and the City Foundation to help cities design business models for green infrastructure projects, through specialized advice on business and finance processes, as well as bringing together promoters, potential investors and fundraisers. WRI Mexico held TheCityFix Labs call open from November 6, 2018 to February 15, 2019 and Hermosillo was chosen as one of TheCityFix Labs initiative winners with its project “Cerro de la Campana Biocultural Park”.In 2020, Hermosillo and the other five winning cities of TheCityFix Labs presented their projects to a panel of finance experts representing different investor profiles, from philanthropy to the private sector. The audience included government officers from across the Latin American region, academics from local and international universities, and stakeholders from multilateral agencies and the financial sector, including GIZ, AFD, ECLAC, UN, IDB, World Bank, IFC, BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, HSBC, BBVA and many others from development banking institutions and private equity funds. During the event, 2 cities were selected for the continuation of the cooperation agreement; the audience chose Hermosillo’s project, which would create an accessible, community-focused public space through ecological improvement of the Cerro de la Campana area. Hermosillo continued its cooperation agreement until the first trimester of 2021, in an effort to improve the impact of its project, and develop its focus on solving city-specific problems with innovative financial solutions.Further reading: https://wrirosscities.org/news/release-7-sustainable-infrastructure-winners-announced-thecityfix-labs-mexicohttps://wrirosscities.org/news/6-cities-present-%E2%80%98bankable%E2%80%99-green-infrastructure-projects-thecityfix-labs-m%C3%A9xico-pitch-day01/20/2022 02:27:05
