| 01/20/2022 02:27:05

According to data from the 2018 American Community Survey, almost 68,000 San Jose households already have an energy burden of 6% or higher (meaning that 6% or more of their income goes to electricity and natural gas bills). As the number of extreme heat days and heat waves increases, therefore, low-income households will increasingly have to choose between cooling their homes and paying for other basic necessities such as food and healthcare. | 01/20/2022 02:27:05
