A cidade apresenta 106 mil habitantes com sistema de água e esgoto, as demais moradias ainda carecem desse sistema, portanto, quando em períodos de chuvas intensas, a defesa civil monitora e lança o alerta. É muito comum o município apresentar altas precipitações e destelhamento de casas. Atualmente o Estado passa por grave crise hídrica, e São José dos Pinhais não está sendo diferente, o que ensejou a construção de uma barragem para minimizar futuramente os efeitos da escassez de água: Barragem do Rio Miringuava. Outro fator importante a ser analisado foi a pandemia de COVID19, mais de 20.000 pessoas perderam emprego e renda e entraram para o Sistema Único de Saúde, o que acabou colapsando o sistema e não sendo possível atender a demanda sem a articulação com o Estado e com outros municípios da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba. Os impactos gerados pelas chuvas intensas são diretamente ligados aos alagamentos. A impermeabilização crescente das áreas urbanas promove um baixo escoamento das águas pluviais, e ainda, a formação de ilhas de calor nas áreas onde há ocorrência e ao aumento de edificações verticais, favorece a concentração de chuvas nesses locais. A insuficiente cobertura vegetal urbana é fator a ser considerado no que tange os impactos das chuvas, pois uma arborização urbana efetiva é capaz de amortecer os mesmos e facilitar a infiltração de água nos canteiros por sua permeabilidade.01/20/2022 02:27:05

It is a village of Urla Izmir Turkey. A small village has done incredible things on climate change with of help of Urla Rotary club. Kadiovacik village has gain an incredible potantial after registering to CDP. Village has appeared in Turkish Media including television and newspapers several times . It has now been the first village in the world that has become carbon free. Population is 240 this year. Our village is 60 km2. It is 29 km's to main tourist resort to Çeşme. Our villagers knowledge on climate change and CO2 footprint is improving day by day. We now know that we are a model in this respect in Turkey.We found 17. 000 USD of fund and we installed 8.2 kwh photovoltaic panel in the village and now in operation and producing electricity. It is becoming a model more and more in all Rotary clubs in the world not only Turkey but whole Rotary clubs in the world01/20/2022 02:27:05

This dataset contains a subset of the related full cities dataset, covering Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Action questions for publicly disclosing cities in 2021. The platform is still open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
