Please also select the most relevant assets or services that are affected by the climate hazard and provide a description of the impact.12Please describe the impacts experienced so far, and how you expect the hazard to impact in the future3There are several negative effects of heavy rainfall: one of the most obvious ones is the fact that rain contributes significantly to river floods, especially if the affected area involves the upstream area, therefore there are both negative effects of rain storms and river floods.Based on experience, another effect of rain, in particular of heavy rainfalls, is on the use of the different transportation means: when it rains, the use of private cars increases, filling the streets and increasing the vulnerability of the city to floods. In fact, infrastructures are one of the most sensitive elements when exposed to floods and, considering that vehicle circulation slows down, emergency services are affected.Heavy rainfall damages green areas and natural environment as well, fact that could negatively affect the city in case two or more rain storms happen consecutively.01/20/2022 02:27:05
