We have just over 20,000 inhabitants, about half of whom live within a radius of about 3 kilometers from the central urban area. The business community is varied mainly with small and medium-sized companies in industry, trade and tourism. In Mora you will find several well-known brands such as Dalahästen, Morakniv, Vasaloppet, sanitary fittings factories and the artist Anders Zorn's home. The largest amount of employees are in addition to the municipality, the hospital, sawmill, sanitary fitting factorie and forestry. Mora is located by Lake Siljan and the river Österdalälven. We have an airport that currently does not have any scheduled traffic but functions as an emergency airport. Mora is also the final stop for train traffic to Stockholm and for the Inlandsbanan. In the urban area we have district heating own by Adven.Mora municipality continues to grow and the population is now increasing for the sixth year. In 2019, the population increased by 80 people. Since 2014, the municipality has increased its population by 464 people. At the turn of the year 2019/2020, Mora had 20,470 inhabitants divided into 10,342 men and 10,128 women. The average age in the municipality in 2019 was 45.4 years. There are approximately 7.3 inhabitants per square kilometer in Mora. According to Statistics Sweden's data, there were 10,560 dwellings in 2019, of which 66 per cent were detached houses.2.2 percent of the land is used for development, 84.3 percent is forest, 0.8 percent is agricultural land, and 12.7 percent is other land (2015). | 01/20/2022 02:27:05 | |||

This data is collected through the CDP-ICLEI Unified Reporting System. When using this data, please cite both organisations using the following wording: ‘This data was collected in partnership by CDP and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability’.
This dataset contains a subset of the related full cities dataset, covering Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Action questions for publicly disclosing cities in 2021. The platform is still open and the dataset is updated daily to reflect new submissions.
