Please also select the most relevant assets or services that are affected by the climate hazard and provide a description of the impact.12Please describe the impacts experienced so far, and how you expect the hazard to impact in the future5Whilst there have been droughts in London and the South of England previously which have seen ground water levels drop considerably, these have typically been managed via measures such as hosepipe bans. The Water Advisory Group including the GLA continue to investigate how best to mitigate against this hazard in the future, including through further investment in our water management infrastructure and through diversifying our water supply. The CCC identifies that areas with growing populations, as is the case in Wandsworth, will be increasingly drought prone. More sophisticated metrics are needed to help inform how ecosystems are responding to climate change to better focus our response to these risks. The report highlights the potential use of remote sensing tools to improve our surface area mapping and drought predictions. The National Infrastructure Strategy (2020) requires that increased incidence of droughts is considered amongst the expected effects of climate change at the design stage for major projects.Thames Water has produced “Drought Vulnerability Surfaces (DVS)” which represent the company’s resilience / sensitivity to drought. The DVS has highlighted that the London Water resource zone is resilient to drought, but vulnerable to severe droughts with extended durations of 18 to 24 months. Thames Water note that climate change will increase the frequency and severity of droughts and we can expect more extreme droughts in the future. The company emphasises that “Supply can be maintained during extreme events through the extended use of environmentally damaging drought permits”, but this is not a sustainable or desirable long-term solution. https://www.thameswater.co.uk/media-library/home/about-us/regulation/water-resources/technical-report/executive-summary.pdfThe council is considering hazards in the context of the 2021 CCC "Independent Assessment of UK Climate Risk". The report identified more than 60 risks.London in particular is at risk from various direct impacts, including:- Flooding: sea level rise and incidence of tidal flooding; surface water and river flooding- Heatwaves especially as London suffers from the heat island effect with risks to human health, wellbeing and productivity from increased exposure to heat in homes and other buildings- Drought- Storminess and extreme eventsIndirectly, the residents of Wandsworth are some of the highest consumers in the country. Key areas for adaptation therefore relate to indirect impacts around• Risks to supply of food, goods and vital services due to climate-related collapse of supply chains and distribution networks• Risks to people and the economy from failure of the power system• Multiple other risks to the UK from impacts overseas01/20/2022 02:27:05

Governance and Data ManagementGovernance1.7Please provide information specifically on the impact of the COVID-19 economic response on climate action in your city and synergies between COVID-19 recovery interventions and climate action.3Explanation1ResponseFrente a los sucesos del Covid 19, y la forma en la cual se trató de apalear en Chile, dista mucho de algunos ejemplos mas exitosos.

AdaptationAdaptation Actions3.0Please describe the main actions you are taking to reduce the risk to, and vulnerability of, your city’s infrastructure, services, citizens, and businesses from climate change as identified in the Climate Hazards section.8Action description and implementation progress3In order to comprehensively qualitatively and quantitatively assess the condition of green areas that will be the basis for their continuous preservation and improvement, the Capital has developed a Cadastre of Green Areas - Phase I, which collected data on trees, shrubs and green areas, urban furniture and recreational areas. The collected data contain their spatial position, object characteristics and photograph. As part of the development of the first phase of the Cadastre, which included data collection on an area of approximately 500 ha, an application was developed, which set a functional software basis for the efficient continuation of activities that will ultimately cover the entire city area. The activities continued on the implementation of the second phase of the Cadastre, which will cover an area of 809 ha, and collected and included in the existing application of various categories of data. For these needs, 20,000 euros have been set in the City Budget. In 2020, the plant fund was supplemented and 1142 adult seedlings were planted. Since the summer period is warm and dry, irrigation systems have been established on all newly formed green areas. In 2020, works were carried out on the arrangement or formation of two new parks, and 778,000 euros were allocated from the City Budget for the realization of this project. "Podgorica Park" covers 10,000 m2. The space is designed with a lot of facilities for rest and relaxation. The second park has been built on an area of 6,000 m2 and consists of: a new children's playground with different play equipment, sports grounds, and a special space for rest and relaxation with appropriate equipment. The 100 seedlings of adult trees were planted in the park.In 2020, 13 children's playgrounds were built and reconstructed. On this space have planted adult tree seedlings, restored lawns and established new equipment. Also along the roads 16 new tree lines were formed. In order to connection of green areas, initiated the activity of arranging green areas of residential buildings were initiated, so that 50% is financed by the city, and 50% by the owners. In this way, the spaces in front of 28 residential buildings were arranged and the total value of the project was 60,000 euros.01/20/2022 02:27:05
