Climate Hazards and VulnerabilityClimate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment2.0aPlease select the primary process or methodology used to undertake the risk and vulnerability assessment of your city.2Description1Risk assessment methodologyCreate urban development measurement tools and establish a low carbon city evaluation system. The scientific evaluation index is an important means to measure the level of regional development and reflect the concept of regional development. The construction of the “Zhenjiang Index” is conducive to standardizing and leading the city's sustained and healthy development in the new urbanization with distinctive features. Formulate the implementation plan for the preparation of Zhenjiang City's Zhenjiang Index, establish a normalized statistical mechanism for relevant data, improve the city-county two-level index measurement mechanism, and use information technology to gradually form a stable and stable one. The Zhenjiang Index has compiled a working mechanism to strengthen personnel training and capacity building. The latest index data will be released year by year, and the “Zhenjiang Index” database will be established and improved to serve as a low-carbon data feature in Zhenjiang City.Create a benchmark for low-carbon cities and highlight leading role models. Based on the summary assessment of the first and second batch of national low-carbon provinces and cities and the review of the third batch of low-carbon city pilot programs, combined with the good experience of Zhenjiang City in low-carbon development, it draws on the “Urban Low Carbon Development Index System”. "Green Development Index", "China Urban Sustainability Evaluation Method" and other related research results, and proposed "Zhenjiang Index" and promoted throughout the country, is a full affirmation of the low carbon development achievements of Zhenjiang and other pilot cities. It is possible to measure the low-carbon development level at the urban level through the common indicator system between cities, encourage low-carbon path innovation, guide local low-carbon transformation, promote the development experience of low-carbon pilot cities, and share the best path of low-carbon development results. The best interpretation of the five development concepts of “innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing” is conducive to the promotion of low-carbon development models and innovative practices in cities, and the implementation of the five development concepts in the field of low-carbon development.01/20/2022 02:27:05

During increasingly hot summers, lifeguard staff were exposed to extreme heat while on duty with minimal shade or cooling options. A thermal heat gun was used to help demonstrate temperatures experienced on concrete surrounds of pool and operating costs of short term hired fans/misters and ice vests. A new small shade sail with inbuilt mister to support lifeguards has now been installed. By supporting lifeguard staff, this in turn supports continuation of cooling option for community on hot days to use the swimming centre.01/20/2022 02:27:05
